We conducted a LinkedIn poll to consider how the real estate sector feels about 2023 vs 2022. Will it be a better year? The results are intriguing:
- Confident – 11%
- Not confident – 56%
- Somewhere in between – 27%
- Unsure – 6%
Surprisingly, most people who responded to our LinkedIn poll do not feel confident that next year will be better than this year.
However, on the broader poll we conducted amongst clients and candidates, the results were somewhat different, with a more significant majority (19%) suggesting they felt confident that next year will be a better year for the real estate sector. A roughly similar proportion (27% and 32%) in both polls fell somewhere between. A mix of fluctuating markets, uncertain pricing, and geo-political and economic turbulence has clearly created doubt in some minds. But with many still viewing the UK as a safe haven with a now stable government, steadying inflation and robust yields compared to other economies, does this mean positive seeds of optimism for the year ahead?
We look forward to gathering more data in the coming year and reporting our findings back to our network. In the meantime, we would love to know your thoughts – do get in contact with Lucy Winberg to discuss where you see the opportunities/threats and the ideal candidate that would help maximise value for your business in the year ahead.
